“CAMP CHARIS”
FUN AND FREEDOM CAMP DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Located: Templeton – Armstrong County, PA
For the past several years FUN AND FREEDOM has been in the process of helping to develop the beautiful 108 acre CAMP CHARIS into a multi-purpose Overnight Campground and Retreat Center. We are partnering in this project with Grace Brethren Church of Kittanning, PA
Camp Development: Accomplishments to Date
Updates to the Lodge Building: Most recent updates, completed in 2019, included: Installation of new Flooring downstairs and upstairs in the Lodge. Additional improvements to the Lodge have included: Aluminum Siding, Windows, Bathroom and Kitchen Upgrades.
Additional Improvements at the Campground: There has been construction of a Bath House and a Pavilion and clearing of land for future cabin construction. Also, currently scheduled for early 2021, the clearing of land near the Pond making it accessible for additional activities.
Camp Development: Vision for Growth
Future plans for the Camp Development Project includes: Adding Cabins, Developing Sports Fields and adding a Dining Hall/Meeting Room to the 108 acre site. It is with much prayer and excitement that we continue to move forward with this Vision for Growth and raise Funding for this Project.
